Low-Income Senior Parcel Tax Exemption
The application period for the 2025 Low-Income Senior Exemption Safe Clean Water Parcel Tax is now closed. The next enrollment period is April 15, 2026 – June 30, 2026.

Valley Water offers an exemption for qualifying low-income seniors from the Safe, Clean Water special parcel tax. The tax was renewed and approved by the voters in November 2020.
Program Requirements for 2026 (For Reference Only)
You could be exempt from the tax if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You were born before June 30, 1962.
- Your total household income for 2025 was approximately $75,000. Total household income is the total gross income for every person over 18 years old who lives in the home. It excludes capital gains.
- You live in and own the home the tax is assessed on.
Please note that mobile homes in parks and homes that are in an irrevocable trust are not eligible.
Already receiving the exemption?
Once you have submitted the application and it is verified, you do not have to re-apply each year.
If your total household income is above the annual program limits, please complete and return the verification postcard that is mailed in March/April. You will be removed from the exemption program, per the requirements of the program.
